Discover what makes each variety different,
with evidence behind it.
Fruitplot is a fruit variety atlas comparing flavor, texture, and seasons across 140 varieties in 16 fruit groups.
A variety name can tell you more than the fruit name alone.
Peaches differ in firmness and acidity; grapes vary in season and texture. Fruitplot connects these differences through charts, seasonal calendars, and short stories to help you choose.
How we research and review
- 01
Start with primary sources
We prioritize government, breeding institute, university, and research publications. Reviews and editorial sources provide context for flavor and use.
- 02
Separate measurements from estimates
Sugar content, acidity, and weight are stored with their sources and confidence levels. When direct variety measurements are unavailable, we show a broad range and explain the estimate.
- 03
Distinguish domestic harvests from imports
For domestic fruit, we cite local shipping periods. For imports, we show harvest, arrival in Korea, and recommended buying windows separately. A single sale is not treated as an annual season.
- 04
Review automated data
We validate KAMIS price data against defined products and units. KATI editorial material is considered only after its terms of use and original source are checked.
Evidence and corrections
Variety pages and articles show source titles, publishers, and original links. If sources change or better evidence emerges, we update the article and its modification date.
Seasonal windows indicate likely harvest or arrival periods, not live stock. Flavor and texture can change with origin, weather, harvest timing, ripening, and storage.
